Good news!

Mom, dad and I made it to Dauphin today, and got dad settled in for pre-op. We talked to the doctor and good news - the cancer's only stage 1! For those not in the know, stage 1 is good. It means that the cancer hasn't spread into other tissue or lymph nodes yet. Yay dad! They're prepping him for surgery at 7:30 tomorrow morning, and he should be back in the room by 2 pm. Apparently he'll be in the hospital for up to 2 weeks - eek! Mom and I will most likely return to Swan on Thursday, and then it's back to Regina on Saturday, and then fly out on Sunday. Never a dull moment...
